Re: University Photos

Margaret,

The private profit making enterprises I referred to were investment
vehicles - limited partnerships, real estate ventures, plant propagation
enterprises, processing facilities, and product
manufacturing/distribution companies.

My personal feeling is an academic textbook written for the purpose of
instructional/teaching would be not fall into such a classification.
Professional and scientific journals would also not be considered as a
questionable profit making endeavor.

Most other horticultural books for general consumption would also, in my
opinion, be considered primarily for educational purposes and thus not
be a questionable profit making endeavor.

Investment related publications would not be, in my opinion, a be
considered primarily for educational purposes and would be a
questionable profit making endeavor.

Much would depend on how the university, the department head, and the
primary researcher were approached. Their support would generally
produce the necessary cooperation.

Having a cordial personal relationship with the decision makers would be
the key in gaining permission based upon my personal experience.
