Re: info on Upstate Gardener's Journal

Hi Sally. Thanks for your interest in the magazine. I will put a copy in the
mail to you tomorrow. (Anyone on the list who wants to see a copy should
email me. I'm happy to send samples.)

I started the magazine eight years ago as a local alternative to the
national glossies. It's written, for the most part, by people here in
upstate New York, and is distributed at local garden centers, events, etc.
The magazine is free if you can find one, but they go quickly and most loyal
readers subscribe. It's advertising-supported and readers seem to like the
ads as well as the stories. I have it printed on a web press on high-quality
(55lb.) newsprint in full color. My husband, who is a graphic artist,
produces it (on a mac).

We cover the Rochester and Buffalo areas, with subscribers all over‹Utica,
Ithaca, Adirondacks, and out-of-state.

opportunity to introduce myself to the list, which I've been meaning to do.
