Some years ago at the FarWest show I found a place that sold a device made of finished cedar slats held together in a circle that fit over a gallon pot like a sleeve, making it look like the plant was in a wooden pot.  They had them in several sizes.  I don't know the name of the place any more, though.

Okay, just kidding.  What I'd really like to know is why
manufacturers don't make those pots so they hide a 1 gallon nursery
can.  They are always just a few inches too short and the pot sticks
up too far for my aesthetic.

Any suggestions for vendors who do it "right?"  I'd love to write about them
