I know some of you may know John, he was not a member of the garden writers,
but was a writer on our website almost from the very beginning, he has over
400 articles on our site and just celebrated his 500th Real Dirt column from
the Yukon.  He passed away this morning...Joyce, his wife called us to let
us know...how sad to loose such a friend and great garden writer...I put
this up on the home page of our site.

(he sat down in his favourite lazy boy chair as he most often did each
evening and when she awoke this morning, he was still there...:(
