You don't disagree with me at all, but perhaps I was unclear. I wrote
assuming that people on this list would know that "pond soil" is nothing
special. In fact, it's pretty much nothing more than "dirt". I can't even
use soil from my garden for pond plants because it contains too much
organic matter. My point was that this unimproved "dirt" was selling for
significantly more than carefully formulated and amended potting soils.
