Hi Duane,

I was wondering the same thing earlier this spring.  :)

The provenwinners.com Web site says:

   "This year, Proven Winners introduced a complementary plant line
   called Proven Selections. Proven Selections brings together selected
   classic and unique varieties formerly sold under different brands to
   provide growers, retailers and consumers with a broader selection of
   plants under a more focused national marketing effort."

So I'm guessing that Proven Winners is their own stuff that they hold 
patents on, and Proven Selections are plants that they're licensing from
or distributing for other patent holders.
