I am taking a literary nonfiction class at the University of Oregon. Part of the requirement is to research book agents in your field of writing. I am a magazine writer, and I have not heard other garden writers discuss agents. Does anyone know if garden books are agented? If so, who would you consider the top agents or agencies in the US for garden writing?
Thanks,

Yes, garden book are agented. Although I know that others on this list have different opinions, I would never consider doing a book project without one.
Mine is Jeanne Fredericks in New Caanan NY and I can't say enough good things about her. Don't know about the others. A few years ago, there was an up-dated article in the Quill and Trowel about other non-fiction agents focussing on gardening and you might be able to dig this out.
Others can speak about their own experiences I'm sure - both good and bad (and I know there's both out there) <g>
