 Sounds like pure market-share protectionism. Standard business procedure, unfortunately, along the lines of Anheuser-Busch fighting the Czech company who had the name Budweiser first. And yes, Scott's does come off looking like a bully.

  If you have not caught up with Scott's attack on a mini-company,  
check out www.suedbyscotts.com/.  I think Scott's comes out as a  
bully worse than Disney.  How can they really think this little  
company is a threat?  I guess when a company is making billions of  
dollars, they tend to become arrogant.  I thought I might check out  
Scott's new organic product line, but that idea is now dead.
