OOPS! The dates for the GWA Region V Photo Workshop and Regional Meeting are

JUNE 21 and 22. Sorry for the error on the earlier post. The early deadline

of Friday, May 18 is correct.

Fellow Listserve Members,

Whether you are a GWA member or not, please accept this invitation to the

GWA Region V Meeting and optional Digital Garden Photography Workshop in

the Kansas City area.

The daylong photo workshop on Thursday, June 21 at Powell Gardens,

presented by noted New Jersey based garden photographer Alan Detrick, will

benefit photographers at all levels. Limited to just 15 participants, the

workshop includes field shoots at the beautiful Powell Gardens and

classroom sessions. Breakfast and lunch are included in the the affordable

registration fee.

The Kansas City area is rolling out the red carpet for the GWA Region V

Meeting on Friday, June 22 with tours of lovely Powell Gardens and the

inspiring Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Garden, lots of photo ops,

speakers, story ideas, networking, free plants and other goodies.

Additionally, thanks to some wonderful sponsors, a yummy hot breakfast, a

delightful lunch at Gardens of Glory and an evening Barbeque and Jazz party

at Family Tree Nursery are included. If you'd like to stay the weekend,

there's an optional breakfast/tour of Kansas State University's

Horticulture Research Center on Saturday. And, of course, there's no

shortage of attractions in the K.C. area.

You're welcome to attend either or both events. The early registration

deadline (for discounted fees) on both events is this Friday, May 18. The

final deadline is June 6. For details, schedules, registration fees and

"Region V." Click on the date for each event. You can register online or

download a registration form to mail.
