Subject: [GWL] AFTER-party GWA Potomac Regional Mtg on 5/29

If you are attending the GWA regional mtg at Mt Vernon/River Farm on 5/29 or
even if you are not, and will just be in the greater DC area  on that date,
I'd like to invite you to MD (the other side of the river)  for a
wine-and-cheese mixer in my back garden. Let's call it the "cool kidz  after
party."

Nothing formal, my garden is an overgrown jungle now due to the recent rains
so you'll need to hack back a path to explore :-)

I'm thinking 5-7pm. This will give everyone a chance after the  Regional Mtg
ends to freshen up, change, cool off, and dump your  literature/swag after
the mtg before coming over. Plus, I'll have a  chance to run home and
hopefully beat you all here to chill the wine.

I'll send  directions to those who RSVP and also try to remember to bring
some printed  directions with me to the regional mtg itself for those who
may need it.  Basically, if you look at a map of DC, we are located at the
tip of the  diamond.

Also I'm just blocks from two metro stations on the Red line and on several
bus lines. (Plus, the local greyhound/peter pan bus terminal is a  block
from me.) If you need public transit to get home or back to your  hotel, I'm
happy to assist or give tips.

Finally, if you need ride/carpool from VA, let me know during the  group
lunch and we'll try to team people up before we leave the regional  meeting.

There are MANY fine, unique restaurants within easy walking  distance of my
house (Piratz Tavern, Jackie's, Nicaro, etc.) Depending on  the crowd and
the prevailing mood -- we may go on to one of those as a  group or we can
just hang out in the garden sipping wine and  order pizzas to nosh on.

Please reply  by Wed May 27 if you'd like to join the after party, so I can
get a  head count and make sure I have enough wine glasses :-)
