Re: What do you do about requests for fee-free talks?
I agree with Lois, Jo Ellen. Do it!
Also, if your show runs for a while and the station starts getting garden
related commercials it never had before, you'll have a wedge to use for
getting paid in the future and maybe for getting a longer time slot.
Also, you should be able to pull a higher fee for talks and workshops once
you're a TV personality.
Final tip -- wear a memorable hat.
