Re: Deer Damage
The hosta will grow back. And so will the deer. Last summer I had a
group of hosta's get toasted by a freeze in May...they were well on the road
to recovery when a maple tree fell on them and destroyed them in July. They
are all back this year and just got toasted by a freeze again. They're
pretty resilient but they do succumb to the vagaries of weather, deer,
rabbits and slugs...then come right back to life though slowly. Let them recover
on their own...don't juice them with nutrients.

Deer ravaged my shade garden last night and my hosta have been reduced

and a busy schedule kept me from treating new growth with Plant Skydd
and I took a heavy hit.
