Re: DriWater
Nan asked: i've never used (or heard of) rooting gel. Can you enlighten me?
Hi, Nan!
Based on your earlier reply, rooting gel is definitely not the same stuff as DriWater. The active ingredient is listed as 3-indole butryic acid (the rooting hormone) and the inert is listed as thiamine. It's essentially a compound that provides a nice continually moist environment to root soft wood cuttings for neglectful, unskilled gardeners like me. Go to the website for Charleys Greenhouse (www.charleysgreenhouse.com) on their propagation tab to see a full array of what's available from clear gel to a mix with rooting hormone, etc. I think you can do better with pricing if you shop around, but as I've written, my personal success rate greatly improved. However, I was a disaster before so I nowhere to go but up!
