I had a propane flame weed torch that I used on garden beds in late March, but the mulch and debris Âkept catching on fire. It killed the weeds, but ÂI would say the flame weeder is for pavement, rock- mulched or bare soil areas only. As it turned out, the unit I bought was recalled (due to an issue with the seals) and I never bought another.
