Re: Monsanto Protection Act

D.: This was a bill snuck into the senate protecting Monsanto and it's seeds
not allowing for any legal action to prevent their ruling the world of
seeds; this Monsanto affair has been going on so long that supposedly
pest-immune plants have evolved to the point where they are now threatened
by the various insects the seeds and plants were bred to fight. In a country
that is falling apart, it's dismal to realize that members of the corps
devoted to informing the public of the joys of gardening and the importance
of agriculture have no knowledge of what select parts of their government
are trying to achieve in protecting corporations from any involvement in
what is now a social and a moral war! Peter

I can't help but notice that you use the same locution as MoveOn.org (though
I thank you for not calling Monsanto the most evil company in the world as
they did. Krupp is relieved.) But neither you, nor your included link, nor
MoveOn felt any need to explain in calling for action just what this
"Monsanto Protection Act" does that is so offensive. It seems that simply
the Monsanto label is sufficient (Alinsky Chapter 3). Would you be so kind
to explain, beyond the cant, just what the problem with this rider?
