RE: [GWL]: Gwl Several Things

That hurts. Perhaps you're right, Jeff. But due to my circumstances it's 
difficult for me to become an "accomplished gardener."  I've lived in 
apartments with no garden plots for the past 10 years - not because I 
prefer apartments, believe me. I grew up on a 500-acre farm and find 
apartments incredibly restricting.  I do what I can with pots and porches. 
  I just can't afford anything larger. And being a writer isn't making me 
rich.  If I want to be a believable garden writer, I need to have a garden. 
If I want a garden, preferably a home garden, I need a home. And I just 
don't have the income for that. I'm 32-years old and I haven't lived in a 
real home since I left for college, which means I haven't had a 'real' 
garden in 14 years. But I love to write about gardening. And frankly, my 
how-to writing style isn't so bad. I recognize my dilemna, and I do hope 
the more I write about gardening the more I will make, and the more likely 
it will be for me to afford a home with a little property, and the more 
likely it will be for me to become an "accomplished gardener." Maybe I'm 
dreaming.

Peggy,
In my modest view any garden writer who is not an accomplished gardener
should not be a garden writer and that's the end of that story.
