You can be an accomplished container gardener and probably already are,
Ellen.  I started gardening on an apartment landing, two stories above
Hollywood Blvd. and grew pole beans, tomatoes, marigolds, peppers, zinnias,
caladiums, elephant ears and squash.  And, I wrote about my adventures as an
urban gardener.  Both activities were satisfying until we could afford that
first plot of land behind a suburban tract house.  The best thing is that my
experiences and the selling of those first few articles opened doors for
later and laid the foundation for a long career.  Best to you, and keep on
planting, even if it's in a pot on a doorstep.
