With hard-goods products, such as tools, there is no reason you cannot borrow them.


An interesting point, Brooke,  one I hadn't thought of and no manufacturer has ever suggested.  I do think, however, that it would be terribly inconvenient for the company to send me a tool and then find something to do with the used tool  -- send it to another garden writer?  I dunno how I would feel about receiving a used tool to test... I would probably wonder what the last person did with it, how  they treated it and whether  the way they used it changed its effectiveness.

You know that in the PR business, presentation is incredibly important : }

Still... it is something to consider.
