Re: [GWL]: Plant Irradiation

I think the key phrase is known senders. Our nursery has paid a charge for
"backdoor service" this means we take our bagged mail to the dock within
view of postal employees and it is then loaded for the sectional center.
They know us and everything we send our is traceable because it is already
metered. Wouldn't it be nice if we evolve to a situation whereby seed
savers and other citizens can somehow take their mail in for visual
inspections before it is sealed. This would only be necessary for radiation
sensitive items but I wonder if this could occur especially as they are
developing anthrax tests. And yes, I think the mail is a little slower.
Keep in mind if they can apprehend those doing this the mail controls can
ease a bit.
