public interest. The process of genetic engineering creates mutations,
introduces potentially troublesome toxins and allergens, spreads
antibiotic genes into the environment providing opportunities for
organisms to develop resistance, and its unneeded. For example, crown
gall bacteria, Agrobacterium tumefaciens can be prevented and eliminated
with its cousin, Agrobacterium radiobactor, found in a product called
Gall-Trol A.

I'm interested in strategies for growing good food and beautiful flowers
that are in harmony with nature, practical, economical, and applicable
worldwide. No Frankenfoods for me, thanks. There are a number of garden
seeds that are GMO - I encourage everyone to avoid them.

In ag schools genetic engineering projects are taking funds that were
going to research in biological control. I see this as particularly
insidious that a practical pursuit is thrown out for one that is useless
