[GWL]: Hi Everyone
Hi Guy's and Gals,
Just newly joined your forum and have been really enjoying it.
Maritimers have such wonderful dispositions. I wish I had more time to
converse but I'm in my very busy season so I try as best I can to
participate.
Carla, I had my laugh of the day over the tree stealing a quilt :-) Only
you would think like that! Now I'd just say afew "not so nice words" and
retrive it.
My Buck Roses, The Fairy, Nichloas, Bonicas and Aloha are are still
blooming away although the outer petals of the blooms are damaged by
heavy frost. I had my last official bouquet on the dining room table
over the weekend. Now I'm picking the unopened buds for drying before
they are too far gone.
Royal Edward is a very lovely low growing rose it's a pity that so many
people do not like single to semi-double roses. They certainly do not
know what they are missing. I love it's muted pink coloring with a hint
of yellow in it. Also it's really hard to find a hardy small, low
growing rose as this is one of the hardiest I've seen and only grows not
quite 2' tall on it's own roots. Thymbs up for Royal Edward I say!
Jocelyne - As for shredding paper for compost it really isn't a good
idea. Your going to end up with too much carbon and not enough nitrogen
if you put in any more than a handfull or two. I place all my used
newspapers and other papers to build-up a low lying gully in my back
yard. It will take a milenium to decompose but what the heck! Even the
paper towel I place in my comppost take the longest of all to dicompose.
As paper takes a long time to break down you'll find it isn't worth it
to place it in the compost. I don't know if there is recycling where you
are but your better off to simply recycle it if nothing else.
Billy I can give you some ifo on artemisia and the corydalis later when
I have more time. What would you like to know about them ?
Well that's all the time I have to donate to myself today now onto
making a living.
Thanks for the opportunity to give my two cents worth to the group. Have
a great day "you all"

I never met a rose I did not love-just rose plants I could not live
with!
