Yes, this happens to all of us occasionally.  Sometimes it may be a posting
forwarded by a listserv, and the headers get corrupted due to the exchange.
Other times, the corruption takes place in that never-never land of the
Ethernet where all messages are handed off in packets.  It's miracle we get
messages intact sometimes, given the volume.

Here is the easiest remedy when it happens again.  Immediately quit your
email software.  Go to
http://www.e-mailanywhere.com
and fill in your user name and your password.  The headers for all email on
your ISP's mail server will come up.  If the error message you get is that
message #3 is glitching, for instance, take a look at the header on #3.
It's probably something you can live without.  Delete it.  Then go to the
portion of the screen where you empty the trash can.  Empty it.  If you
don't the message will remain on your ISP.  Then go back to your email
software program and download what is left.  I learned this from my ISP.
This is exactly how they clear your glitches when you call them in a panic.
