I'm doing some research on the subject of pressure treated (CCA and it's relatives) lumber and it's use in wetlands and gardens. I know the
formulation and methods for production have changed. I also know of plenty of anecdotal and hear say 'research'. What I'm looking for though is science. It is currently outlawed in Vermont. US retail sales of it (non-industrial)
will be phased out in the near future. Many excellent safe alternatives are now available and R&D is ongoing for products that will perform close to CCA, i.e. ground contact. Prices on these products are expected to come down as availability across the US is increased.
