Re: Gifts for gardeners recommendations?

Ellen,
Your orchid book is definitely on my recommended gift list. I have a reviewer's copy from the GWA Symposium in Seattle. For those of you who haven't seen it, "Orchid Growing for Wimps" is comprehensive, easy to read and quite well done. Tons of beautiful color photos illustrate techniques and show off orchid varieties. I think it would be a great holiday gift, maybe along with a gorgeous orchid.

I realize I'm blowing my own horn, but here goes: My new book makes an
excellent holiday gift. It's called "Orchid Growing for Wimps" and
retails for $17.95. (Amazon.com discounts by 30%.) The book is
published by Sterling.

This time of year most people can't work outdoors in their gardens, and
indoor growing becaomes even more important. Lots of people give/get
orchids as gift plants, and with this book, they'll be armed with the
information needed to keep these gift plants alive and get them to
rebloom.

If you're interested, please let me know and I'll send you a copy.
