I can't resist the invitation from Lon and Donna and others, so here goes my
official announcement of the newest publication from B. B. Mackey Books. It
is "Questions and Answers for Deep South Gardeners" by Nellie Neal, GWL list
member. It has back-cover comments from Doreen Howard (list member) and Jim
Wilson, formerly host of the PBS show "Victory Garden."

The book is paperbound, 120 pages long, illustrated, and indexed. It has a
full color cover (which I will soon try to post on the photo site for the
List). It is intended mainly for gardeners in USDA Hardiness Zones 7 to 9,
especially those sections with very hot, muggy summers. You know who you
are! In the book, Nellie divides this region into Deep South, Deeper South,
and Deepest South.

The book will sell for $12.95 (usd) and be available soon. It includes
questions and answers Nellie has collected from her popular talk show on
SuperTalk MS (Mississippi) Radio Network, plus chores and tips for Deep
South fall, winter, spring, and summer. Nellie's advice is effective,
succinct, earth-friendly, and fun to read.

A truck with a couple of thousand copies is going to pull up here sometime
this week. Please contact me off list if you review books in print or on the
