Since I use a Macintosh, the settings are different from most computers.  Can someone else tell Suzanne where to change the setting to notify when there is an attempt to send a cookie to the computer?

Hi Lon:
How do you set a computer to notify you if there is an attempt to deliver.  I'd like to do that too.

I set my computer to notify me of an attempt to deliver cookies and give me the option of refusing them.  Some sites will try to send as many as 20 cookies.

My additional $.02 worth on the new garden site is that folks are getting a lot more reluctant to use sites that require "sign-up" - most of the online folks I know just feel that this is asking for spam (even if only from that site and its affiliates) and would prefer to find the same products or info from a site that does not require info from the user.  (Yes, most of us know that those sites can also be dropping tracking cookies, but it is not as obvious to most users.)
