Title: Re: [GWL] Sweet Pea Book for Christmas gift
Well, I researched amongst American sweet pea growers and
included a chapter in the book bringing together their advice on
choosing varieties and on growing techniques for different parts of
the country. Also, some of the studio plates were taken in the
US.
I appreciate that this is not ideal for American gardeners for
whom a book focusing on the American experience would be invaluable.
But until that comes along I think my book, given that it's produced
for a British publisher, is very useful.

I'd love a great sweet pea book. I've grown them soooo many times and I'm afraid it's one of those plants that the English do some much better with than us. In the same class as Delphiniums. Those of you who have gone to Chelsea and seen the Blackmore and Langdon's will understand. But the sweet pea book that I'd like under my Hanukkah bush would be one edited by an American familiar with our growing situations. But until then.....
