Is the quality as good as a good slide in a good projector on a good screen 
in a dark room? No. Is it good enough? Yes. More than good enough.
I use PowerPoint almost exclusively now. The only drawback is that it takes 
several times longer to set up a talk the first time than if I were just laying 
out slides and slipping them into a carousel.
