good photography site

I've just been exploring http://luminous-landscape.com/ by Toronto-based
photographer Michael Reichmann. (I've cut and pasted the description of its
content below.) Excellent articles on digital photography, including
archiving images and so on, as well as comparisons between film and digital.
Good stuff for photographers.

And if you are fretting about not being able to afford a digital SLR, read
http://luminous-landscape.com/essays/digital-class.shtml. As the author says
"The problem as I see it is that the siren call of bigger and better is
causing otherwise rational people to lose sight of financial reality." His
advice (this was written last year before Canon introduced the new Digital
Rebel, which is being lauded as the 1st affordable digital SLR): "Don't
look at every new wonder camera as a must-have purchase, just as you don't
seriously plan on buying that hot Ferrari that drove past this morning. You
may admire it, may enjoy reading about it, and might on a whim drop into the
showroom, but you're not really going to buy it, so get over it. Treat the
continuing flow of new high-end digital cameras in the same way. Enjoy the
fact that they're out there. Read the reviews and be glad that they exist,
because next year and the year after their features and advances will
trickle down into camera that you can afford."
