Don¹t forget to take advantage of the Garden Writers Association (you are
a
member, I hope.) E-mail Carol Ledbetter, who edits the Quill and Trowel
newsletter and get the specifics for submitting information for the Hot
off
the Presses page, including a cover image of the book. It¹s also not to
early to think ahead to the GWA annual symposium next fall in Oklahoma
City.
You can get an author¹s table where you can showcase the book to all those
who attend the symposium.. In addition, you can add yourself on the
Speakers
List on the GWA website (gwa.org)
As far as speaking for garden clubs, arboreta, etc., they often pay VERY
well. They¹ll happily pay as little as possible, but are willing to spend
the money for a recognized speaker, especially on a unique topic. Another
group to contact is the Master Gardeners. Some have state-wide meetings,
or
just county-wide. (I do discount speaking fee for them).
