preserving the past
Maybe it's because I'm in the frigid and gloomy Pacific Northwest, cold, damp, and cranky, but I'm finding the inability of fellow posters to delete old messages increasingly annoying. Is it a lack of knowledge or courtesy that results in previous messages being included with new ones, to an extent far beyond that necessary to give context to the new message. Must the entire history be repeated in message after message, getting increasingly lengthly, including multiple copies of the standard boilerplate attached to each message? A two word message Thursday included three day's worth of previous messages.
