Print-on-Demand
11/4/2008
I'm finishing a Quill and Trowel article (today I hope) about
print-on-demand (POD) and how it relates to us as garden writers. This
technology allows the printing of products one by one or in small batches.
Have you had any experiences, good or bad, with POD? This can be books,
DVDs, calendars, art prints, or the like. I've used a POD supplier called
LightningSource for three books now. How about your experience with Lulu,
Cafe Press, RedBubble, and others? With books I see that interior color
printing is becoming better and more affordable, a welcome change in the
technology. Any comments to share or related questions you're interested in?
Brags? Comment on or off list! Thanks!

P. S. My newest POD publication is "Organic Gardening Down South" by Nellie
Neal, September 2008, 144 pages, illustrated but no color inside.
P. P. S. I voted already.
