Re: Garden Thugs

So does anyone have any bright ideas for getting rid of the aegopodium when
it's coming up among other plants in the garden? Mine hitched in with a
"gift" from a very well-respected local gardener. I curse the day!

At a local church, it was eradicated in a courtyard by covering it with
landscape fabric and then topping that with a heavy layer of pea gravel for
a year and a half. At least I assume it was eradicated. It's possible that
if we remove the fabric/gravel and start planting again, the stuff will
again emerge. In any event, I can't do that in my garden. I try to cover
patches of it with black plastic and upside-down containers but those roots
just seem to migrate elsewhere.
