Betty, Congratulations on your 25th Anniversary!  Starting and running a 
successful business is hard by any measure, but to accomplish that feat 
in the publishing industry is truly an accomplishment.  You are, indeed. 
a figure to be reckoned with.  I am thrilled to be the newest member of 
the Mackey Books family.  It is an honor.

I remember meeting you for the first time in Philadelphia, when Doreen, 
you and I had that singularly lively dinner together in Chinatown.  I 
was in awe.

And then there are your acorns and our "shared" encounter with that 
squirrel.  The squirrel is long gone, but some of those acorns have 
taken root in my yard as well as a few others here in Naperville and a 
couple of  surrounding suburbs.

It has been my pleasure knowing you and an honor to call you friend.
