Thanks for your message. I savor your comment about operating during the 
most tumultuous era of publishing since the days of Twain. Twain was a 
futurist but his linotype investment was too far ahead of the curve.

The big publishers walked away from midlist and ordinary publishing, chasing 
best sellerdom and leaving the rest wide open for the upheavals that 
followed. Technology accelerated it all.

Another Twain thing is ringing a bell -- Huck Finn attending his own 
funeral. Everyone is being much too nice to me for this to be a roast.
