Re: Southern gardening book

Would two books do? Walter Reeves and Erica Glasener's "Georgia Gardener's
Guide" is easy to read for beginners. It combines Walter's decades of
Extension how-to's plus Erica's vast plant knowledge.
Walter and Felder Rushing teamed up to do "The Georgia Fruit and Vegetable
Book". There's also Walter's "Guide to Georgia Vegetable Gardening"
If only one book is in your budget, Walter and Erica's "Month by Month
Gardening in Georgia" will help them keep on track.

I don't know whether your in-laws listen to Walter on Saturday morning, but
if they're fans, you can order autographed copies from his website.

I haven't seen the new edition of the "Southern Living Gardening Book" but
the old one was helpful. It's not specifically for Georgia, but it, along
with the ones above, are some that I recommend to my readers and clients.

Subject: [GWL] Southern gardening book

Seasons Greetings All:

My in-laws live in Athens, Ga. and they've just bought a new house with lots
of land an not much in the way of landscaping. Neither are gardens but
dabblers but they'd like to do more, especially vegetables but ornamentals
as well. Can anyone on the list recommend a great, general interest garden
book that might be appropriate? We'd like to give it to them for a
Christmas present.

Thanks

Andrew
