Maureen, I suggest you consider Chelsea Green.  I have been very happy 
with them.  

Chelsea Green has a direct mail list and is also very skillful at 
selling through seed companies and various special outlets as well as in 
bookstores.  I think they have the best publisher's website too, which 
is especially important these days.  

Go to the website in my sig line, click on "About Chelsea Green," then 
go to the page for contributors.  The contact info is given there.
