10/1 Donna, it just occurred to me that perhaps your group might be interested in the PA Hort. Society library.  The librarians there would be a good source for you and might also have other gardens, perhaps some private ones, they could suggest: http://www.pennsylvaniahorticulturalsociety.org/
    There is another historically significant botanical library in the Philly area, but I can't drag it out of the recesses of my mind at the moment.  Perhaps someone else might be able to come up with it.  Perhaps, I'll come up with tomorrow.  Hope this helps.
