[GWL]: idiotic questions

This was not a question, rather a know-it-all statement from a 'city girl' cousin to a 'farm girl' (me) years ago.  She and her husband had just been gifted a small, new house by their parents, and she was lording it over me.  I was not in a financial position to have my first house yet, although I wanted to, so I was green with envy.  She said, "Growing potatoes the first year gets the soil ready for a lawn, so we are going to grow new potatoes on this side of the garden and old potatoes on the other side."  Somehow that made me feel better.
