Re: [GWL]: Ivy, the new noxious weed

To: John Friel

We are had as hell about the Oregon decision to call Hedera a "noxious
weed". It is not only unfair it is wrong. There is one cultivar of
Hedera - Hedera 'Hibernica" that is invasive - but there are over 400 other
Hedera helix cultivars that are not. Some are so slow growing that in
several years they grow only a little. Sunset Magazine will be doing a
piece on Ivy in a forthcoming issue and, I believe, they are going to touch
on this subject.

Since I am so new to this group, I don't know much about members. Who do
you write for?

Best, Suzanne Pierot
