PS. Since you live in the Pasadena area, another favor? The Xylosma
congestum down there is blooming right now and I am dying to find some
female plants in flower to photograph. Xylosma is dioecious so each plant
will be of only one sex. I was down in your area a week ago, speaking to the
lovely ladies of the San Marino Garden Club. I spent several hours roaming
around the area, saw plenty of Xylosma, but found only male plants (and
lots of whitefly!). If you spot a female, please do let me know. thanks!
