Re: Publicity

Lon,

Have your friends/colleagues submit reviews to Gardening e-zines (like
mine)...

Contact your local school districts, too... I'm supporting our local
elementary school with gardening as part of their science curriculum. We're
working on getting PAR going at the school and at our company, as well. If
you can get publicized in the local papers your assistance at the local
elementary, secondary, and high schools... that's publicity, my friend.

Maybe do some guest lectures at seniors' centers, too? And, of course,
publicize them. Many seniors now have the time to garden (that when they were
yuppies they wanted to do... but their goals are finally be realized).

Good luck, Lon... and let me know if I can help in any way. And not to worry,
my cheque for my copy will be in the mail soon, my friend.

Hugs,
Cat

<< I'm in the publicity stage of my book on grape growing and I've been
trying to come up with places I should contact about it. With as many
published authors, publishers, etc. as there are on this list, you MUST have
 ideas of places I've overlooked.
Here's a list of some I've tried thus far, though I haven't heard back
 from all of them yet:
American Association of Community Colleges (the book could be used as a
 text).
ANLA - the mail order nurseryman's association
    Organization of Extension Agents.
Wine Appreciation Guild (the publisher found this one, actually).
Of course I've been contacting garden magazines and such, though I doubt
 I've hit that many.
In short, I'd be interested in hearing suggestions on people and groups
to contact. I'm sure that the information will be of value to enough on the
list that we can keep this going on the GWL .
