Re: No viruses here

Most of the virus problems require you to be in the infected  sender's address book PLUS  the address book of the *alleged* sender the virus *appears* to come from.

The actual true real sender is virtually an unknown and unknowing victim. The apparent sender is NOT the problem, it is NOT coming from them at all!

Diana (and Lon for example) must be in so many different people's address books -- and sadly some of those machines are infected. Which ones, who knows. We just hope their users realize they have a problem and fix it soon.

Subject: Re: [GWL] No viruses here

I've seen postings in the past few months about viruses picked up through the group.  For some reason I'm not getting them, none of them.  Of course I don't open unknown attachments and I run a firewall and Norton at all times...but others seem to as well.  Just curious why Diana Penderson seems to be picking them up and not me.  It might be helpful to know what OS and equipment she and others are using when they post a virus complaint.
