In June, when we returned from our garden tour of England, I had my two seed packets (purchased at the Chelsea Flower Show) ready to show customs. I knew that border auriculas weren't on the bad list, and I wanted to be up front and show the inspector. And, yes, they were taken away from me (who know that border auriculas were an invasive species?). When I told the story to friends, they all said that yes, that it had been in all the papers while we were gone — no seeds at all without a phyto.
In light of Graham and Brook's information about getting garden seeds from abroad, I see now that I should've just mailed the seeds to myself.
