RE: fall gardens

Another source for gardens is the Virginia Garden Club scene.  I do know that they have a tour of homes during garden month and many private homes are open during this period to show their gardens. I forgot that I wrote up a small piece for the American Gardener while I was there this past spring.  The issue of The American Gardener you might want to look at is the January/February and March/April in the Regional Happenings.  There are contact names and numbers.

I hope this helps.

Catriona,

I just went back and noticed your Vienna, Virginia address on your e-mail. You might check Meadowlark, Green Springs, and AHS headquarters libraries for the guides -- they just might have them from prior years. Also, in Maryland, check Brookside Gardens, another great possible source for Maryland garden info.
