Oh, I dunno. From time to time I like to throw in a word that sends them
running for their dictionary. At least those who have dictionaries.

I've learned over the years that I have two groups of readers. One reads
for gardening information, and they surely just blip over unfamiliar
words -- no harm done. But a surprising number of non-gardeners read the
column; they're the ones with dictionaries.
