RE: Was Testing--publishers needed

Title: Re: [GWL] Was Testing--publishers needed

I would suggest looking at those who are most successful in the children’s publishing.  It takes a bit of looking but, go to the book store and comb the aisles and pick out books that you think best represent you and the book you are working on.  Sometimes it is as easy as that to find a good publisher.

There is a web site www.authorsandpublishers.com this gives a myriad of information.  Also, there is publishers book that you can find in the bookstore that lists publishers by subject.

Let's ask this another way.  Is there an online list of book publishers?   Or is the annual writer's guide the only place one is likely to find a list of publishers?

Although I am a publisher myself, I can't say much about children's books except that they are very hard to market. Good luck, Lon. The best advice I can offer is to try to find an agent specializing in children's literature. Literary Marketplace (LMP) would be a good reference.
