Re: Artillery fungus


It would seem that orange oil would soften and help remove the spores from
surfaces. It disolves rosin and humate materials. It will soften some
paints and disoves wax - so try it on a small area before putting on a
large area. Spray or dab on spots, let sit for 15 minutes than wipe off
with oil dampened cloth or soft brush.

We buy 50 gallon drums of orange oil from Sunkist and package in quart and
gallon bottles.

It seems counter-productive to spray fungicides on mulch. There should be
a way to redirect decomposition, possibly with Bacillis licheniformis and
B. megaterium - bacteria that digest mulch.
