MPDargan Landscape Design LIVE Course offerings 2005


Dargan's Landscape Design Courses offered Spring/Summer 2005 in Richmond,
Birmingham, Callaway Gardens, GA and Cashiers, NC.

Dear Garden Writers: I enjoyed meeting many of you at the recent annual
meeting in LI, NY. Thank you for your kind comments on my Distance course in
Landscape Design. 

Please list these LIVE courses in your newsletters or papers. They are very
popular and we need to get the word out! Master gardeners, homeowners,
architects, landscape contractors, horticulturists and just about anybody
who is interested in learning the practice of landscape design and
fully-expressing their home property would benefit.

The Callaway Landscape Design Mini-Certificate is again offered at Callaway
Gardens on February 25-27, 2005. Taught by Mary Palmer Dargan, ASLA, APLD
and includes 7 lectures, a design studio and garden study. Last year several
participants completed entire preliminary master plans!

In Richmond ,Virginia on on May 17-19   at The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
Hugh and Mary Palmer Dargan,ASLAs are the Gillette Forum featured speakers
with workshops on 2 lectures and 2 workshops on landscape design

recognizes the contributions of Charles F. Gillette, early 20th c. designer
of Virginia gardens. Included are many lectures by experts in the field of

In Birminghan AL, at the Birmingham Botanical Garden, a mini-Certificate of
Landscape Design is offered by Hugh and Mary Palmer Dargan, ASLAs as a
weekend seminar on March 11-13, 2005 and includes 7 lectures, a design
studio and garden study.

In Cashiers, NC,  The Clemson Certificate of Accomplishment in Landscape
Design Cashiers is offered from June 14- August 11, 2005. Taught by Mary
Palmer Dargan, ASLA, APLD, this is the full course taught live with 47
lectures, field study to 9 gardens, 4 design studios and much, much more.
Located in historic and picturesque Cashiers in Western North Carolina, this
is a great way to spend a summer. College credit in horticulture or
landscape architecture may be available.
