I think I asked this question on the list several years ago but found the  
suggestions way too complicated and potentially complex...hoping to find the  
simple solution...

I've got about 15,000 images I'd like to have better access to.  Right now I 
have to have an idea about which camera they were shot on (of 6) and  when the 
picture might have been taken...then I have to go to that folder and  look 
through the pictures. Obviously I'm lucky (or very tired) when and  if this 
works. 
I have very specific needs and very narrow parameters. I need  to be able to 
do a date or date range search on when the picture might have been  taken. I 
need to search by tag words and multiple tag words. I also need to be  able to 
attach comments to selected photographs. What I don't need is image  
manipulation software...just image cataloguing or management. I can do all my  croping, 
sharpening, sending and editing with other programs. 
Any and all suggestions are very welcome. Simplicity is the  key. All the 
images are stored on a single hard drive so no need to look on  multiple cd's, 
dvd's or drives. (Yes, they are well backed up on multiple drives  and 
dvd's)Thanks for your help
